The August full moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon. Symbolically, because sturgeons have existed for over 100 million years, this moon symbolizes survival, deep history, and endurance.
Spiritually, the sturgeon is known as “the stirrer” because it feeds by sifting through the mud at the bottom of lakes. The August full moon is thought to stir up buried emotions or old memories, offering a chance to face and release them.
