Relaxing Spring Training Experience in Scottsdale Arizona

A Different Kind of Spring Training Experience: Why Sound Healing Is the Perfect Activity in Scottsdale

Spring Training brings thousands of visitors to Scottsdale each year — baseball fans, families, couples, and friends escaping colder weather for sunshine, great food, and unforgettable experiences.

But between game days, many visitors find themselves asking the same question: What should we do when we’re not at the ballpark?

If you’re traveling with a spouse who loves baseball, planning a group getaway, or simply looking for something meaningful to add to your trip, a sound bath at Shanti Sound offers a completely different kind of Scottsdale experience — one that helps you relax, reconnect, and recharge.

What Is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a deeply restorative meditation experience where guests lie comfortably while therapeutic sounds and vibrations from crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other instruments gently guide the body into a relaxed, meditative state.

The practice has roots across cultures throughout human history, where sound has been used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

During a session, there’s nothing to learn or perform.

You simply arrive, relax, and receive.

The vibrations help reset the central nervous system, calm stress and anxiety, and create a sense of deep mental and physical restoration — something many travelers don’t realize they need until they experience it.

The Perfect Reset Between Game Days

Spring Training schedules often mean long days in the sun, crowded venues, travel fatigue, and packed social calendars.

A sound bath offers the perfect counterbalance.

Whether you’re:

  • On a baseball trip with your spouse or friends
  • Recovering from travel or late nights out
  • Looking for a wellness-focused activity outside the stadium
  • Wanting a peaceful experience before heading back home

Sound healing provides a quiet, grounding moment that helps you fully enjoy the rest of your trip.

Many guests describe it as the reset button they didn’t know they needed.

A Unique Group Activity Everyone Can Enjoy

One of the biggest reasons visitors love sound baths during Spring Training season is simple:

Everyone can participate.

No fitness level, flexibility, or meditation experience is required. Guests remain comfortably supported with yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters while sharing a calming experience together.

It’s an ideal activity for groups who want something memorable without the pressure of planning complicated outings.

Perfect for:

  • Couples traveling together
  • Friends’ getaways
  • Girls’ trips
  • Family vacations
  • Bachelor or bachelorette groups
  • Corporate or team retreats
  • Anyone looking for a meaningful shared experience

Instead of another crowded bar or restaurant reservation, groups leave feeling relaxed, connected, and refreshed.

Conveniently Located in the Heart of Scottsdale

Shanti Sound is located in downtown Scottsdale at the northeast corner of Hayden Road and McDowell Road, with easy access from Loop 101 East and the 202 Red Mountain Freeway — making it a simple addition to your Spring Training itinerary.

The studio features a spacious 1,200-square-foot meditation space fully equipped with yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters for comfort, so guests can simply arrive and relax.

Offsite travel options are also available by request, allowing Shanti Sound to bring private sound bath experiences directly to hotels, Airbnbs, or event venues.

Flexible Options for Every Schedule

Whether you’re planning ahead or looking for a same-day activity, Shanti Sound offers multiple ways to experience sound healing:

Regular sound bath sessions are just $29 per person, with same-day bookings available based on availability — perfect for visitors planning activities on the fly.

Experience Something Different This Spring Training Season

Spring Training is about more than baseball — it’s about creating memories, reconnecting with people you love, and enjoying experiences you don’t get at home.

A sound bath offers a peaceful, meaningful way to balance the excitement of game days with deep relaxation and connection.

Whether you’re visiting Scottsdale for baseball or simply looking for something new to try, Shanti Sound invites you to slow down, reset, and experience wellness together.

Cary Ballou with Shanti Sound

About Cary

Cary Ballou grew up in Virginia and moved to Arizona in 1999. As she made her way through decades of corporate work, she often felt depressed, depleted, and unfulfilled.

People would ask: What is your passion? What would you do, if you could do anything you wanted? And a specific question in her mind kept asking… What am I here to do in this lifetime… How can I be of service?

In 2017, Cary attended her first Sound Healing session. After that one life-changing experience, the answer eventually appeared.

Cary started Shanti Sound to assist in bringing the ancient power of Sound Healing to the public. Her mission is to serve the collective with her passion for helping others and to increase awareness about this form of Quantum Healing.

Cary received her Level 1 and 2 Sound Healing practitioner certifications from Sound Healing Academy International, and is a Level 3 certified Reiki practitioner in the Usui lineage.
