What to know when attending a sound bath or event

Phones MUST be turned off or ensued that they are on SILENT with NO alarms set. Apple watches are best taken off for this experience as well and to ensure that there are no signals between devices. Please be considerate of others; quiet with a minimum of disturbance is essential.

We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before class commences. The front door will be locked at the start time of the group session or event. Guests who arrive late will not be granted access. While we understand that traffic backups and other issues can happen, it’s necessary to plan for your travel time and to respect others who are on time.

Sound baths are not something that one can slip in to late; they are intentional energy work meditation sessions and Shanti Sound will maintain the utmost in customer experience to provide a smooth and uninterrupted session every time.

Please refrain from applying perfume, cologne, or other fragrances prior to arriving. Some subtle essential oil is fine, however strong scents are noticeable several feet away and can be very distracting and even uncomfortable for the other guests.

If you have an injury or other ailment that prevents you from relaxing, and causes excess movement that cannot allow you to be for the most part still, please get up quietly and leave the room. Excessive movement is felt and heard by other participants and can negatively affect their experience.

While cannabis is legal in the state of Arizona, consuming it by smoking right before arriving is noticed by the other guests and can be unpleasantly distracting. Please be considerate of others when consuming cannabis before a sound bath.

If someone is snoring next to you, you have the right to tap them. Falling asleep is common in a sound bath and can often be accompanied by some audible exhales, however snoring can be distracting and we all have permission to quiet the person next to us if needed. Cary’s job is to hold space for the group and she can’t always address this, especially from some distance away.

Cary holds such a beautiful, peaceful space. I’ve been here for numerous sound baths, as well as breathwork sessions and I always leave feeling a million times better physically, emotionally, and spiritually! This is such a special place with amazing offerings. Highly recommend trying it out.

Words will never do justice to the amount of healing i recieved from my one session here thus far. Ive never done anything remotely close to this due to a lack of understanding for it. Now it will be as mandatory as the groceries on my list. This place will heal your heart and mind. Do not hesitate another minute to take your first session here. Best part of a sound bath? You never have to check the temperature before you let it wash over you. Its always going to be exactly right for you.

I highly recommend sound bath healing meditation. It’s helped me tremendously by removing mental blockages. It’s helping me heal past traumas & has been extremely therapeutic. My overall mental health & wellness is better due to this ancient form of healing. I admire Cary for her talents & I’m truly grateful to be introduced to this healing.

Cary offers an incredible personal touch to the science of how music and sound have the power to heal the body, mind, and emotions. I was introduced to Cary’s work after being fascinated by claims made by a friend that sound healing had completely changed their life by helping them get through a difficult loss. The research is there….better mood, less tension, overall increase in well-being. I’ve engaged sound healing for several months and have experienced the benefits for myself. Cary is an excellent sound healing practitioner with a gift to heal. I’d recommend Cary and her work to anyone seeking ways to release stress and truly heal the body, mind and emotions.

Cary’s sound bath experiences have been magical for me. Listening to her play brings me to a deep meditative state, allows me to relax my mind and my body and I leave with a feeling of being more aligned and clear. I highly recommend attending one of Cary’s sessions, whether it’s for healing, releasing toxins, relaxation or tapping into intuition.

Prior to the sound-baths I was feeling tense and a bit on edge. From the moment I heard the first sound, I was carried into my inner self. It wasn’t hard for me to get comfortable almost immediately. From there, it’s quite hard to remember all that happened but I was taken on a sound journey that felt deeply meditative and relaxing. I just remember “waking up” after the session feeling like I just had a full night’s rest. The amount of clarity and tranquility I felt is almost indescribable.

"Absolutely transformative experience; physically, mentally, spiritually. The environment and subsequent sound immersion are difficult to describe with words but it’s a must for all. It realigns you with your higher self and Mother Earth. Worries ease, pains fade, thoughts get exposed for what they are... thoughts and no more.

10/10 would recommend.

Cary is an elevated soul".

Sound bath sessions with Cary will change your life! I started attending classes in April 2022 after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder as an alternative means to heal my body and the benefits do not stop. I have significantly lowered my blood pressure as well as reversed a right bundle blockage in my heart. My moods have become stabilized and my mental clarity is the best it’s ever been. Cary offers an intimate setting that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. She takes an investment in her clients by offering useful educational information and special events that dive deeper into enhancing you mind, body, and energy. Thank you Cary for providing a safe and healing space for all!

As a music lover and musician, I understand the impact of music and sound on your mood but the addition of the vibration in Cary’s sound bath setting blew me away. I did not find it difficult to “float” away into a deep meditative state, and the hour long session was over before I knew it. I highly recommend this wonderful service as a part of your wellness routine.

"This is the second sound healing session I have taken. I enjoyed it very much, The healing sounds of the gong, bowls and chimes were so relaxing and peaceful. I felt like I was transported into a peaceful oasis. The ambience of the studio was beautiful and the skill of the teacher was amazing. Thank you"!

Wow! I’ll admit that I was skeptical about what I’d experience at Shanti Sound. But I am now a fan!

My wife and I both went to our first session last evening. Within minutes of the session beginning, I was feeling myself relax beyond the limits of where I’ve been before.

On our drive home we were both agreed that this experience was a perfect 10. We also agreed that we should go back again, and also share our experience with others.

Classes

During a Sound Bath you will be lying comfortably on your yoga mat, you will be guided by the sounds of Gongs, crystal bowls, and other healing instruments into a state of meditation, relaxation, and possibly heightened sensations. As the frequencies from the instruments absorb into the mind and body, they work to correct any areas of low vibration back to their natural states of resonance. This gentle form of energy work has been used for thousands of years as an ancient form of natural medicine.
